Introducing the concept of Augmented Reality to a group of school kids is fun and teaches you a lot about the future. Amazubg how well AR-glasses are accepted and even more how excited the kids are about these glasses. School kids understand the concept of AR-glasses intuitively.
Augmented Reality in Schools
We were invited to introduce Augmented Reality to a group of school kids. We showed what Augmented Reality is, presented examples and explained where Augmented Reality already occurs in our everyday life. After the presentation, the kids had the chance to try the AR glasses such as HoloLens and Magic Leap. In addition, they could try AR applications on smartphones and tablets. It was great to see the interest and motivation of the school kids. They tried out the different apps, discussed them with each other and laughed. Everyone wanted to try AR glasses. We were amazed how well the glasses were accepted and even more how excited the kids were about the glasses. The school kids understood the concept of glasses intuitively. No doubt, the future is augmented!
